MADDER ROOT - rubia tinctoria - one of the most popular natural dyes due to it's ability to withstand the test of time, light, and washing. It has been discovered on some of the oldest textiles in current existence, it creates a range of permanent reds / browns / purples that come from a chemical in the roots known as alizarin.

FUSTIC - Maclura Tinctoria - uses the heartwood of this tree from the mulberry family. Known for it's use dyeing khaki for the military in WWI, records of the dye's use goes back to the colonial era as it was 'discovered' by Europeans in the America's (though use from the native people probably goes back even further!)

LOGWOOD - Haematoxylon campechianum - another heartwood 'discovered' by Europeans during the colonial era, this plants rich purple dye was a delight to dyers who previously were only able to achieve rich dark purple by expensive means like the Murex snail.

INFO: Stripes of patterns and color like a sweeping sunset on this slightly cropped tank. Reversible neckline gives you high and low options for wearing, 100% silk crepe fabric. Each panel has been dyed with natural dyes, then folded, crumpled, pleated and dyed again. Finished with baby hem. 

SIZING: Measurements taken with garment laying flat, double to compare to body measurements (ex. 17" bust on garment fits up to 34" bust, but allow a few inches wiggle room for looser fit!)
S: 19" bust, 19" long (fits best up to 34" bust)
