Library: The Family of Woman

This book is of the same series as Family of Children and Family of Man (the famous photo exhibit shown in 1955 at the Museum of Modern Art) The original exhibit, from what I've heard of those who were there to see it in 1955, was rather mind blowing as such a variety of compelling personal photos from around the world would have been so difficult to be exposed to at that time. This version of the series follows the same theme, as a collection of photos of women from different times, places, and cultures. The feeling of unity that comes through these contrasting photos is strong, leaving one with the uplifting sensation of knowing we've all got way more in common then we think.
